Our garden:
Our hillside garden of 4-5 acres on the side of Mt Bullengarook has been established in a formerly open windswept paddock, but is now well sheltered.
The cool climate garden is at 500 metres above sea level in Central Victoria in the South East corner of mainland Australia. Plants grown need to be good survivors in a climate with dry summers and cold winters.
The garden features:
- many native trees and shrubs
- perennials and cottage plants
- fruit trees
- striking scenery & views
The number and variety of native plants attracts a large bird population, especially honeyeaters, blue wrens, rosellas, wattlebirds, scrub wrens and grey thrush.
